OshopBot policies
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information OshopBot handles, why we use it and the choices available to visitors.
Last updated: October 8, 2026
1. Who we are
OshopBot is an independent pet product research and editorial website. We publish product information, comparisons and buying guides intended to help pet owners make more informed choices. Questions about this policy or requests concerning personal information may be sent to shilei.qian@outlook.com.
2. Information we collect
We do not require visitors to create an account or purchase products from us. When you browse the site, our hosting and security systems may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, referring page, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps and diagnostic or security events. Search terms entered in the site search may appear in ordinary server logs.
If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, name and message. Please do not send sensitive personal, medical or financial information.
3. How and why we use information
We use limited information to deliver pages, answer messages, maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, understand aggregate site performance and comply with legal obligations. For visitors in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, the applicable legal bases are our legitimate interests in operating and securing the site, performance of a requested communication, compliance with law and consent where consent is required.
4. Google API data
OshopBot operates a private, internal keyword-research integration using the Google Ads API. The integration accesses keyword ideas and aggregated historical advertising metrics authorized through our own Google Ads account, including estimated search volume, competition, bid ranges and monthly search trends. It does not access Gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, contacts, private messages, payment-card details or personal Google profile content.
We use Google Ads API data solely to research search demand, prioritize editorial topics and improve OshopBot’s independent pet product articles and buying guides. We do not use Google API data to build advertising profiles, determine eligibility, make automated decisions about individuals, train general-purpose artificial-intelligence models, or create, facilitate or distribute AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery or other sexual content.
Google API data is stored in an access-controlled private database available only to the site operator and technical service providers necessary to host and secure the service. It is not sold, rented, shared with data brokers or disclosed for targeted advertising. Historical keyword records are refreshed periodically and are deleted or irreversibly aggregated when no longer required for editorial analysis, normally within 24 months.
You may revoke Google account access from your Google Account permissions page. You may also request deletion of information associated with the integration by emailing shilei.qian@outlook.com. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
OshopBot does not currently use non-essential advertising or behavioral-profiling cookies. Essential technologies may be used when necessary for security and basic site operation. If optional analytics or advertising technology is introduced, we will update this notice and, where required, request consent before it is activated. Browser settings can be used to delete or block cookies.
6. Product and affiliate links
Our pages may link to Amazon and other third-party websites. Those services may collect information when you visit them and are governed by their own privacy policies. Some product links may be affiliate links, meaning OshopBot may earn a commission without increasing the price you pay. We do not receive your third-party account password or payment-card details from those links.
7. Disclosure, sale and sharing
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Limited information may be processed by hosting, security, email or technical service providers acting on our behalf, or disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or complete a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
8. Retention and security
Technical logs are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting and legal compliance. Correspondence is retained while needed to respond and maintain appropriate business records. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal information, to object to certain processing, to withdraw consent and to appeal or complain to a data-protection authority. Residents of California and other applicable U.S. states may also have rights to know, correct or delete information and to opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable right.
Send requests to shilei.qian@outlook.com. We may need to verify your request and may retain limited records where legally permitted. Because we do not currently sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, there is no separate opt-out mechanism to use; where legally applicable, we will honor recognized browser-based opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control.
10. Children and international visitors
The site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Information may be processed in countries whose laws differ from those where you live; when legally required, appropriate transfer safeguards will be used.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices, technology or legal obligations change. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will receive additional notice where required.
