OshopBot

Application purpose

The private OshopBot application retrieves keyword ideas and aggregated historical search metrics from the operator’s authorized Google Ads account. The editorial team uses this information to understand general search demand, identify useful pet-product questions and prioritize subjects for additional research, comparisons and buying guides.

Google Ads API data is used for topic planning only. It is not treated as evidence about product safety, suitability or quality and does not determine product evaluations or rankings. Product facts and editorial conclusions are based on public marketplace information, manufacturer and company sources, and research performed by OshopBot employees.

Who can use the application

The Google Ads API integration is a private tool used only by the operator of OshopBot. It is not offered as a public login service. Website visitors do not need a Google account or an OshopBot account to view the homepage, articles, application information or policies. Google OAuth authorization is used only to connect the operator’s authorized Google Ads account.

Data collection method

After an authorized operator grants OAuth access, OshopBot processes the credentials needed to maintain the connection, the authorized advertising customer identifier and required account configuration. Using Google Ads KeywordPlanIdeaService, including GenerateKeywordIdeas and GenerateKeywordHistoricalMetrics, the application retrieves keyword ideas and aggregated historical metrics such as approximate average monthly searches, monthly trends, competition levels and bid-range estimates.

Requests are initiated by the authorized operator and results are returned directly by the Google Ads API. OshopBot does not request Gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, contacts, calendars, private messages, payment-card information, passwords or website visitors’ private Google profile content.

Data use, storage and deletion

Keyword ideas and aggregated metrics are used only for internal search-demand research and editorial topic planning. OAuth credentials and customer identifiers are used only to authenticate the authorized account, make permitted API requests, maintain the connection and troubleshoot the integration.

Credentials and results are stored in server-side, access-controlled systems. They are not sold, rented, licensed, shared with data brokers or used to build profiles of website visitors. Retrieved results are deleted or irreversibly aggregated when no longer required, normally within 24 months. Credentials are deleted when access is revoked or the integration is disconnected. A verified deletion request may be sent to shilei.qian@outlook.com and will be completed within 30 days, subject to limited legal or security retention requirements.

Prohibited AI use

OshopBot does not use Google APIs or Google user data to create, facilitate, promote or distribute AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery (AI NCII), sexual content, biometric identification, surveillance or automated decisions about individuals. Google API data is not used to train general-purpose artificial-intelligence models.
